Ministry: Payment order on $117.2 mln Eurobond coupon fulfilled
MOSCOW, Mar 17 (PRIME) -- The correspondent bank has fulfilled the Russian Finance Ministry’s order to pay coupons on two Eurobond issues totaling U.S $117.2 million, the ministry said in a statement on Thursday.
The ministry was to pay the coupons on Eurobonds maturing in 2023 and 2043 on Wednesday, and it has been the first coupon payment since the West blocked a part of Russia’s foreign exchange and gold reserves.
The ministry plans to notify about the transfer of money to the agent bank – the London branch of Citibank – later, the authority said.
